The follow-up (2nd) Workshop for MCC Bank Stakeholders with a theme-“Reinventing VISION and MISSION for MCCBank Ltd” was conducted on 13th July 2024 at the MCC Bank Staff Training Centre, Administrative office, Mangalore. 

 

The Workshop began with the prayer by Mrs Irene Rebello, Director. She also gave a brief introduction of the workshop. Most Rev.Dr.Gerald Isaac Lobo, Bishop of Udupi, was the chief guest for the workshop. Dr Professor Aloysius Sequeira, Former Dean (Faculty Welfare) & Registrar, National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal and HAG (retd.),was the resource person for the workshop. Mr Anil Lobo, Chairman of MCC Bank Ltd, welcomed the Bishop with floral bouquet as a token of gratitude.

 

 

 

In the 1st Session of the Workshop, Prof. Aloysius Sequeira, recalled the important points discussed during the 1st workshop held on 10th February,2024. He presented the compilation of Vision, Mission & core values discussed by the groups during the 1st workshop. He also, informed that while compiling the points discussed he has included the inputs given by the Bishop and Mr. Allan Pereira. The participants were asked to discuss in groups formed during the 1st workshop and select the best Vision statement, one statement under each of the five focus areas under Mission statement (Core purpose/customer base expansion, customer needs/service, customer centricity, technology/innovation and business ethics) and 3-5 core values in the list compiled by him.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In the 2nd session of the workshop, the participants were asked to analyse Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats for MCC Bank and also to set short term, medium term and long term goals for MCC Bank.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The participants, after discussing the above points, presented the Vision, Mission and core values for MCC Bank, selected by them. The resource person presented the points selected by him through content analysis to the participants. He also asked the participants to make necessary changes, if any, from the suggested final mission statement for MCC Bank, given by him. After a detailed discussion the groups presented the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats for MCC Bank Ltd., identified by them and also aggressive, competitive, conservative and defensive strategies for achieving the goals. While speaking during the concluding session, Most Rev.Dr.Gerald Isaac Lobo, Bishop of Udupi, said that, when like-minded persons work towards achievement of goals in groups, the result will automatically be positive. He also said that the journey has begun and requested the participants to come together for another work shop to finalise the blue print of the Vision, Mission statement and core values document. He further said that the document is to be completed by November,2024, in order to launch the final document containing Vision, Mission Statement and Core values for MCC bank, by January,2025.

Altogether 30 stake holders consisting of selected Directors, Ex Directors, Experts, Ex Bankers, Customers, Top Management and staff members participated in the workshop.
