MCC Bank, along with its Chairman, Directors, and Branch Managers from Udupi, Kundapura, Shirva, and Brahmavara, visited Bishop of Udupi Diocese, Most. Rev. Dr. Gerald Isaac Lobo on 01.03.2025 to felicitate him on his 75th birthday and silver jubilee Ordination day. On this occasion, Mr. Elroy Kiran Crasto, Director, welcomed the gathering. In his address, he said that the Diocese of Udupi has gained a prominent place in India due to the bishop’s vision, pastoral mission, hard work, and well-planned ministry. The laity of the Diocese appreciated the Bishop’s initiatives and actively supported his ministry.

Director Dr Gerald Pinto while felicitating the bishop commended his leadership and dedication, which have significantly contributed to the progress of the Diocese in just ten years. His tireless efforts have led to substantial growth in the Udupi Diocese, fostering positive developments in education, healthcare, and other sectors, ultimately contributing for the betterment of the community.

The Bishop was felicitated by Sahakara Ratna, Mr Anil Lobo, who wished him on the occasion. Directors and Branch Managers presented a memento and bouquet to the Bishop.

In his address, the Bishop expressed his gratitude and shared reflections on his ministry. He said that he has always dedicated himself for helping the poor and the needy.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

He said that he was not very closely associated with the M.C.C. Bank for various reasons. However, when the present management took over, he observed and found that they were doing a fantastic job. This has inspired him to extend his support to the new management. He appreciated the leadership of Mr Anil Lobo and said that the Chairman has transformed the Bank in to vibrant institution with a fresh vision and a renewed vigour. He said that the Bank has been maintaining close connection with the community which has attracted many new customers.

MCC Bank has now reached the standards of a nationalized bank and has proven its credibility. The bank has achieved this milestone by upgrading its infrastructure and investing in human resources development. The Bishop wished the Chairman of the Bank all the best in his endeavours.

While dwelling upon the challenging situations faced by the Bank recently, the Bishop said that every institution will face difficult times and the difficult phase leads to a new beginning. He appreciated the management for having emerged successful after navigating through difficult times. He said that facing challenges is a part of the journey towards growth and one should not be deterred by the challenges.

The Bishop congratulated the Directors and the staff members for their dedication and hard work and blessed them.
