On October 19, 2024, Mr Francis Fernandes Cascia, a legendary figure in Konkani theater and renowned as the "Comedy King," visited the MCC Bank Ltd Administrative Office. He was warmly welcomed by Chairman, Sahakara Ratna Mr Anil Lobo, MCC Bank Ltd, on behalf of the board of directors and staff members. Mr. Francis Fernandes is a name synonymous with "Matharo Chorbela."

He is not only a distinguished playwright, director, actor, poet, and story writer but also a philanthropist and an individual with a golden heart. His immense contributions to Konkani theatre include writing and directing 33 plays, authoring two novels, and releasing three DVDs of his dramatic works. His acclaimed play "Mhataro Chorbela" holds a remarkable record with 98 performances across various countries. In addition to his writing, he has gained popularity for his directing and acting in numerous plays. Despite appearing as a young man of 40, he recently celebrated his 80th birthday on July 14, 2024.

During his visit to the newly renovated MCC Bank campus, he expressed his delight at witnessing the bank's growth and reputation in the community. He concluded his remarks by wishing success to the management and staff members at the administrative office and offering his best wishes for the future of the bank.
