On the occasion of the 1000 Crore Business turnover of the Bank, Milestone Event celebration was organized by M.C.C Ltd at Milagres Jubilee Hall, Mangalore at 6 pm on Sunday 21st January, 2024.

The Milestone Event celebration began with the Bank Anthem, followed by prayer song led by team Band Strings.

The history of MCC Bank starting from the date of establishment and its progress over the years was presented before the customers through a documentary and floral tributes to the founder of the bank, P.F.X Saldanha on the occasion.

The program was presided over by Sahakara Ratna Shri Anil Lobo, Chairman of M.C.C Bank. The program was inaugurated by lighting the lamp. Shri Micheal D’souza, NRI entrepreneur and philanthropist was the chief guest. CA Rudolph Rodrigues Chartered Accountant, Rev Fr Bonaventure Nazareth Parish Priest, Our Lady of Miracles church, Milagres, Shri J.R. lobo Former MLC and Chief Whip, Shri Rohan Monteiro, Managing Director of Rohan Corporation, Shri Pius Rodrigues, Former Director, Pollution Control Board and Managing Director, Levin Electricals Bantwal, were the guests of honor.

Chairman Shri Anil Lobo welcomed the guests and thanked the members and the customers for the achievement and presented details of the progress made over the past 6 years. He said the Bank is not only offering products and services at par with nationalized Banks, but alos providing education loan and other loans at competitive rates, thereby helping the students for persuing higher education in india and abroad. The Bank has invested in technology, more particularly in upgrading the Core Banking Solutions and other digital platforms for providing digital banking services to the customers. He also said that after a gap of 22 years, the Bank has made arrangements for opening its 17th branch at Brahmavar, Udupi District, in the month of February 2024. He attributed the success of the Bank and his receiving “Sahakara Rathna” award from the Government of Karnataka to all the esteemed members and customers of the Bank, who have given unstinted support for the progress of the Bank.

While delivering the key note address, CA Rudolph Rodrigues, informed the gathering the significant financial statistics along with key ratios of the Bank. He also said that the bank has gained trust of the customers, one of the important non financial parameters which has contributed for the growth of the Bank. This was possible only because of the effective leadership of Chairman Shri Anil Lobo as chairman, during the last 5 years.

On this occasion, the Bank’s new initiatives, viz., E-Lobby and Pass Book Kiosk was inaugurated by Shri J.R Lobo, personalized Cheque Book by Shri Ivan Dsouza and Business offer by Shri Rohan Monteiro. The fourth edition of Bank’s Bulletin was released by Rev. Fr Bonaventure Nazareth.

On this occasion, Chairman Shri Anil Lobo was felicitated for receiving the prestigious award “Sahakara Rathna” by Govt. of Karnataka. It was noted with pride that he is the first person in Catholic Christian Community to receive this award.

The Chief guest of the program, Shri Michel Dsouza, congratulated MCC Bank on reaching the business turnover of 1000 crore. He congratulated Shri Anil Lobo and his team for their excellent efforts. He advised the management of the Bank to continue to retain the trust reposed by the members and the customers in the years to come and protect the interests of the constituents.

The charity fund was also distributed to Manasa Rehabilitation Centre, Pamboor, Udupi, Suraksha Charitable Trust Karkala and Prajna Chinnara Thangudhama Kendra, Kapikad, Mangalore, for the noble work done by the charitable institutions.

Shri J.R. Lobo, Rev Fr Bonaventure Nazareth, Shri Rohan Monteiro, Shri Pius Rodrigues and Shri Ivan D’souza, congratulated the management and the staff members for achieving the mile stone business figure and wished all the best for the future.
